Hiscox has launched a facility that will enable brokers that do not
meet its policy volume requirements to place high net worth risks with the
company.

The move follows the insurer's decision at the end of last year to slash
its agency base from 3000 to 200, which helped to reduce its
administrative costs, but also considerably reduced its distribution
channels.

The new facility, which Hiscox is calling its "hub", is being run by
Gauntlet Insurance Services. The hub handles high net worth enquiries
