In the last 15 years, we have witnessed an unprecedented increase inthe number of urban renovation projects, as in-town living has become
fashionable again and the volume of available greenfield sites has
shrunk.
The best known of these sites, such as the Greenwich Peninsula in London
or the Docklands area of Birmingham, typify the renaissance in our
cities.
A recent government report by Lord Rogers outlined the vital role of
brownfield sites as the greenfield alternative becomes more scarce.
