Biba appoints MercariRisk as marine insurance scheme provider

Trade body says the scheme is underwritten by A+ rated capacity and will help brokers access cover for a range of marine risks including cargo, freight liability, hull and liability cover for commercial vessels, commercial maritime operations, super yachts and pleasure craft.

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has launched a new marine insurance scheme for members in collaboration with specialist broker MercariRisk.

The broker trade body said MercariRisk will offer expert knowledge, advice, training, joint client calls if required, and easy access to the marine insurance market as part of the scheme.
