Risk management/claims: Fraud crackdown calls for travel claims transparency
Insurance experts have called for an industry-wide solution for sharing travel claims information in a bid to fight fraud.
Travel claims data is currently being piloted on the Claims and Underwriting Exchange (Cue), a central database of motor, home and personal injury/industrial illness incidents. There has also been discussion over whether it should be included, alongside motor and household, on Insurance Hunter, a central anti-fraud system designed to combat activities such as identity theft and money laundering.
