JLT reports struggles at Thistle but maintains positive outlook
JLT Group has reported that pressures on consumers and small businesses in the UK continue to affect the trading results of its subsidiary Thistle Insurance Services.
However, in its interim management statement for the third quarter of 2012, the group also said that the UK employee benefits (EB) business continued to make financial progress.
Across the group, organic revenue growth was at a good level, and JLT stated: “Our overall trading performance is in line with our expectations.”
It added: “While the global economic environment is increasingly challenging, the business remains on track to deliver year-on-year financial progress.”
