Q: What measures can I take to keep an eye on my staff and how much
surveillance can I do while staying within the law?


A: Surveillance is an emotive subject, though monitoring staff activity is
common practice within many organisations.


Most broking systems include auditing tools to record who does what, when
and using which program (the audit trail). Similarly, many companies also
restrict the use of the internet, eliminating spam and preventing (rather
than detecting) misuse and abuse.
