Aviva UK and Ireland CEO Spencer to leave at the end of the month

Aviva has confirmed that Robin Spencer, CEO of UK & Ireland GI, will leave at the end of the month to be replaced by Maurice Tulloch, CEO of Aviva Canada.

The provider paid tribute to Spencer, citing that he had made a "considerable contribution" to the group during his tenure in both UK and international roles. 

Spencer himself was previously CEO of Aviva Canada before becoming chief risk officer at Aviva plc. He only assumed his role as Aviva CEO of UK and Ireland in June 2012. 

Tulloch, who joined Aviva in 1992, was appointed CEO of the Canadian business in 2009.
