The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has experienced further problems with its Firms Online facility, fuelling a complaint by a compliance consultant that the FSA does not understand how brokers operate.
The facility, via which authorised firms complete their Retail Mediation Activity Report (RMAR) returns, was closed on 30 and 31 May for "essential maintenance" but remained closed until 2pm on 1 June. Shortly after this, the system crashed again, due, according to the FSA, "to continued
