Amicus hits £22m in GWP and sets sights on M&A

Amicus CEO, Adam Scott, has told Insurance Age that the broker is looking to do deals as it aims to become the largest construction waste broker in the UK, following last year's MBO which was supported by Shawbrook Bank.

Scott commented: “We’re getting to a point now where we’re in a position to probably start doing some acquisitions next year. I’ve got one lined up which is about £500,000 in commission.

“But what I don’t want to do is start doing acquisitions and have it affecting our business because you’ve got to be careful what you’re buying.”

Scott declined to say how much the business was looking to spend but, thanks to last year’s MBO deals are now an option
