Restrictive covenants can be useful to protect your business when employees leave, but only if they’re imposed properly, says Beverley Sunderland
The insurance industry has many unique qualities but for an employer looking to protect its business, the key is that insurance policies renew annually. This means that every year there is the threat of insurers losing the business to a competitor.
For brokers this is a problem. There is usually a loyal relationship between the broker’s employee and a client which, whilst being good for generating business, also poses the biggest risk to a broker should the employee leave and take the client
