Reflections on Derek's travails as Broker Apprentice launches

This first task was a good task for the final five to start with as it’s very much what they do every day: they see clients, ask questions, understand the clients’ needs and then (hopefully) offer the right insurance solutions.


In many ways this first task, launched online yesterday, should prove to be the easiest one and a gentle start to the series!

All five of them did well in understanding the client's business needs and the risks he faces in the building trade.

They were all very professional and, despite my friend Derek being slightly less forthcoming about his previous losses, they all got the relevant information that they needed in order to make an informed recommendation about his future insurance

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
