Covéa jobs at risk amid £145.5m loss

Covéa has been hit by an ‘unprecedented’ series of events leading to a £145.5m loss in 2022.

The losses, which are a reversal from the £6.1m after-tax profit in 2021, come at a time when Covéa is entering into consultation with a number of staff over their jobs.

A spokesperson confirmed to sister publication Insurance Post that ‘certain areas’ faced restructure to allow a more ‘streamlined and focused’ business. At least three staff have already lost their jobs, according to the report.
