In the run up to the 2020 UK Broker Awards Insurance Age is profiling all the shortlisted firms and individuals, with today’s focus the Diversity & Inclusion Award.

The Diversity & Inclusion Award celebrates the businesses working hardest to develop much-needed representation in the broker space

This year the judges whittled down some brilliant entries to the following shortlist:

In its submission the team flagged an equal gender split in the business with female managers across the company. Sponsor comment: Close Brothers Premium Finance

Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is a high profile issue, and campaigners are more vocal than ever in urging businesses to improve D&I standards. Close Brothers Premium Finance (CBPF) is a diverse business, though we want to break more barriers and promote BAME colleagues into senior management, as research shows that companies with diverse management tend to be more successful. We at CBPF are very proud to sponsor this award in a crucial year for this issue. We hope that in future a D&I award won’t be needed, because it will naturally be the way things are done in our industry.
