Former vice presidents vow to monitor CII after motion not debated at AGM

A move to bring an independent probe into ongoings at the Chartered Insurance Institute has fallen short at the first hurdle.

Former vice president Branko Bjelobaba claims members have ‘serious and urgent’ concerns over errors of judgement and deterioration of operational performance at the CII.

Bjelobaba’s item of ‘special business’ was put forward at the CII’s annual general meeting yesterday to discuss the organisation’s alleged failings and calling for an independent auditor to review decisions taken over the last five years.
