Deals poised to come to fruition, says Markerstudy leader Gary Humphreys

Markerstudy is keen to push on with further buys after securing BGL Insurance and Clegg Gifford at the turn of the year, according to group chief underwriting officer Gary Humphreys.

The Clegg Gifford purchase was unveiled just before Christmas and is due to complete shortly. The firm completed on BGL Insurance at the start of this month having revealed the deal in January.

After snapping up £400m BGL Insurance, which brought three million customers to the group, Humphreys had said the business was hoping to close two more buys before the end of the first quarter.
