Overheard has come across a novel way of a broker leaving his company and taking clients with him. Caught by a closed-circuit television camera he himself had installed, he was seen breaking in and taking a circuit board containing the client database in the hope of setting up on his own. Needless to say, his hopes were in vain. And the gentleman concerned? We couldn't possibly say!

Senior Legal & General managers joined journalists for an early morning chant to 'energise' their organs recently at London's Energy Clinic, before a briefing to outline their post-regulation plans. Attendees were then given a personal profile - based on their time and date of birth - of what to eat, when to exercise, colours to wear and where to live. A survey into the occupation of UK motorists most likely to get caught by speed cameras has placed insurance representatives in the top 10. The findings are based on research indicating that insurance reps tend to have A-type psychological profiles and have a predisposition to be rushed, impatient, fast moving, time conscious, deadline orientated, perfection seeking people and so are prone to taking risks.
