Europ Assistance announces rise in turnover and profits
Europ Assistance Group has announced a 6.6% rise in turnover in 2009 to €1.288bn (up 7.6% in constant euros) despite the economic crisis hitting its two traditional markets of automotive and travel.
It also posted a net profit of €21.1m, up by 44% compared with 2008, and current operating income of €42m.
The turnover for travel was up by 4% compared with 2008 and automotive rose by 7%. These two markets respectively represented 32% and 42% of the group's consolidated turnover in 2009.
