Three insurance brokers appear in national profit league

The Deloitte and Touche sponsored Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 features Giles, RFIB and Oval in its list of UK private equity-backed companies with the fastest-growing profits.

The supplement, which is based on research conducted by Fast Track, analyses private equity-backed businesses with the fastest growing profits in the last two years and then ranks them by their EBIT.

During the period analysed Giles' profits have risen 90% a year from £6.3m in 2007 to £22.8m in 2009 achieving 13th place for the company, down from 3rd in 2009. Fellow brokers RFIB and Oval were ranked 21st and 85th respectively, neither featured in the 2009 survey.
