Preparing for policy changes after the US terror attacks.

Q: Are the events of September 11 going to fundamentally change the terrorism or war exclusion contained in commercial and domestic policies?

A: Almost certainly, but at this stage it is difficult to say how
this will take shape.


Certainly, the tragic events have already refocused the main players'
attitude to this risk. I do not think we will see a unilateral
exclusion.


Insurers responded thoughtfully after the London Bishopsgate and Baltic
Exchange bombs and they took a similar view in relation to other attacks
such as those in Manchester and Warrington.
