Stars of the BBC’s Dragon’s Den series, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden, make their inaugural – albeit fleeting – appearance on the products and schemes pages this month.

The pair are backers of a firm which has in turn launched a new fine art insurance offering with Hiscox and Richard Thompson Insurance Brokers.

Elsewhere, travel insurance specialist PJ Hayman also claimed a first with the launch of a top-up cancellation scheme for travellers. Another new scheme last month came from Thames Underwriting, which has focused on the sports, social and leisure club market while, following feedback from brokers, Ace has delivered an enhanced product for contractors in the offshore oil and gas sector.

And a recurring favourite also pops up again as AIG tackles the on-going hot topic of cyber insurance. Finally Sterling Insurance’s executive professions product gets a four-star review.
