Select & Protect urges mortgage brokers to sell general insurance

Select & Protect is urging financial advisers to make the most of the general insurance opportunity and realise the benefits of adding home insurance and MPPI to their product portfolio.

The company referred to a poll by Alliance and Leicester in October 2008 which showed 41% of brokers said they would not expand offerings to include products other than mortgages. According to the company this is despite almost half of them being regulated to sell insurance products in reaction to the declining mortgage market last year.

FCA warns on Tempcover clone

The Financial Conduct Authority has issued a warning of fraudsters trying to scam people by pretending to be short-term car insurance specialist broker Tempcover including on TikTok.

Brokers push for more from RSA/NIG
