Equalities bill “promotes mediocrity”, warns law firm

The government’s new equality bill could result in a brain drain of top talent, a law firm has warned.

Siân Keall, of Travers Smith, said the removal of so called “gagging clauses,” which stop people discussing their pay with colleagues, could mean that individual bonuses are less attractive to employers.
