Axa’s defence in legal spat with property investor “untenable” say claimants

Martin McKeague, representing Aubrey Weis, says allegations made in Axa’s defence documents would have “huge ramifications” on the insurance industry.

Martin McKeague, partner at Walker Morris, has challenged the merits of the defence and counterclaim filed by Axa in the ongoing legal proceedings between property investor Aubrey Weis and the insurer.

Walker Morris is the law firm representing the claimants in the case - Weis, trading as Combined Property Control, and another company partially owned by Weis, Elcombe Limited.

The case against Axa was first filed with the High Court in September this year, and follows on from an ongoing legal
