One in ten young professionals take out no insurance

One in ten young professionals would rather “take the risk” than spend money on insurance, a new study has revealed.

The latest ‘Big Money Index’ from Axa has found that over a quarter (27%) of consumers were more concerned with the cost of insurance than the level of cover it could provide.

The most popular reason for buying travel insurance was for the medical cover and expenses with 80% of those participating in the survey indicating that was the main reason for buying the cover.

However, a sizeable 63% cited legal protection as a critical feature and 61% said cancellation/curtailment cover was also crucial
