JLT reports strong first half results
JLT starts the year strongly with £70m of profits and good trading in Australasia and Latin America.
Jardine Lloyd Thompson this morning reported a 21% rise in revenue to £377.8m in the first half of 2010 (H1 2009: £313m) and an underlying trading profit of £70.7m (H1 2009 £57.8m) up 22%. Profit before tax was £70m (2009: £61.3m), up 14%.
In the London market, revenue grew 10% including 6% organic growth.
JLT added that Australasia produced over half the trading profit (£12.8m) and performed well, whilst Latin America also performed strongly (£2.1m).
