Issues raised at the BIIBA conference must remain 'live' if we are to get good ideas off the drawing board.
My good friend and fellow columnist Terry Wellard hit the headlinesrecently when he questioned the mix of marketing and insurance information
at the recent BIIBA conference, the suggestion being that the conference
was too heavily weighted in favour of the former.
I would agree with him that perhaps the opportunity could have been taken
to raise the awareness of delegates as to, for example, the future of
broker regulation. This was (at the time of conference) and still is very
much a live issue.
