Lloyd's insurers Limit and Wellington are to merge to form EnsignUnderwriting.
The deal will create the largest Lloyd's-based insurance business with
combined gross written prem-ium of £1.3bn. Ensign's board of directors
will comprise Limit and Wellington staff including: Jonathan Agnew as
executive chairman; Ian Agnew as deputy chairman; Julian Avery as group
managing director; Steven Burns as agency managing director and Julian
Cusack as finance director.
