The Insurance Brokers Registration Council is £100,000 better off
following the resolution of its financial wrangle with the Financial
Services Authority.


After several meetings, the IBRC has been paid the £185,000 owed for the
administrative duties it carried out for the FSA. Similarly, the IBRC has
paid the FSA £85,000, reduced from the initial £185,000, in regulatory
charges associated with its past RPB status.


However, the IBRC still has the financial responsibility of the lease of
St Mary Axe
