Nottingham-based broker Russell Scanlan has acquired the generalinsurance business of local firm FS Ulyatt and is looking for further
takeover opportunities.
FS Ulyatt's six-strong general insurance team, headed by Melvyn Webster,
has moved offices. The acquisition takes Russell Scanlan's total workforce
to 30 employees and increases its premium income from £10m to more than
£12m.
Ian Chaplin, managing director at Russell Scanlan, said the deal was the
