The Electrical Contractors' Insurance Company (ECIC) has linked upwith the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) to launch an LEIA
contract guarantee scheme. Under the scheme, contractors give clients an
ECIC guarantee certificate as a guard against unsatisfactory completion of
work. This will replace the 5% of payment which clients can currently
