New London market insurer The Underwriter Insurance Company has been awarded an 'A-' (Excellent) rating by AM Best.The company has been set up by former Independent directors Robert McCracken and Keith Rutter, as exclusively revealed in Professional Broking (June, page 1) and went live last month.
Mr McCracken and Mr Rutter have assumed the positions of chairman and chief executive respectively.
They are joined by Direct Line founder Peter Wood, who is a non-executive director. Former
