Ian Richens, chief executive officer of broker FM Green, hasdescribed the imposition of the General Insurance Standards Council as a
"once in a lifetime opportunity" to buy the books of business of smaller
intermediaries.
Mr Richens, whose company runs a wholesaling scheme, says his company has
already bought books from three smaller intermediaries who did not want to
sign up to the GISC.
