Positive thinking was in evidence at the CII Conference. There were calls for new technology to be further embraced and opportunities to be seized, as Diane Smyth reports.
The theme of this year's Chartered Institute of Insurance conference(27-29 September) was "Being the Best". CII president Reg Brown; Lloyd's
chairman Max Taylor; Aon chairman and chief executive Bob Scott; and CII
director general Sandy Scott were among the speakers. Michael Bright,
current CII deputy president, was nominated president on 27 September.
The most popular of all the discussion sessions was probably "GISC
Monitoring in Practice". The seminar featured Steve Barrow, GISC head of
monitor
