The General Insurance Standards Council has confirmed that up to 30
intermediaries and brokers have asked to resign as members, following the
Competition Commission Appeal Tribunal's refusal to clear rule F.42.


Catherine Nicoll, spokeswoman for the GISC, said: "We have seen a few
independent financial advisers and a small number of brokers asking to
resign from GISC membership - less than 30 altogether. A list of
ex-members will be put on our website in two or three weeks.
