Disaster recovery for small brokers.

Q: Since 11 September I have heard a lot about disaster recovery. I run a small brokerage so does this affect me?

A: Disaster recovery affects all businesses and you should have had a
disaster recovery strategy in place already.

A disaster recovery strategy looks at all areas of your business and
determines how quickly you have to be 'up-and-running' to remain in
business and carry on trading. You may determine that your phones need to
be useable within two hours, whereas your accounts package could be
delayed for two days.

Your ongoing contingency planning against disaster defines recovery
procedures.
