Simon Bolam, proprietor of Edinburgh-based broker EH Ranson & Co, is heading up a Small Proprietors' Committee for the General Insurance Standards Council.The committee, set up at Mr Bolam's suggestion, is to provide a forum for small brokers and help them to ensure they comply with GISC regulations.
Mr Bolam will be chairman of the committee, which will include eight members drawn from a spread of businesses. The committee is due to meet for the first time at the beginning of May.
