The General Insurance Standards Council still has no decision on its
controversial rule F42 and, therefore, cannot say when brokers will have
to join up by.

The Competition Commission Appeals Tribunal was due to give a decision on
28 August but has delayed until mid-September.

The GISC originally hoped to have the rule in place by 1 September but was
forced to move the date back, then to scrap it altogether, awaiting
clearance from the Appeals Tribunal.
