Newly-launched online insurance provider, RapidInsure.co.uk has sold8% of its shares to Channel 5 for £1m.
RapidInsure will sponsor Channel 5's weather forecast for a year as part
of the deal, and receive a series of advertising slots alongside relevant
programmes. Channel 5's website will also have a link to the RapidInsure
site.
The Internet initiative, which was launched on 1 March, offers cover for
business and consumer travel, office and home, term life, personal
accident, IT equipment and pet
