Travel agents and lawyers are likely to be regulated by the FinancialServices Authority, according to Alastair Noble, senior manager of the
Financial Services Regulatory Consulting Group at
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He pointed out that the FSA rules could apply even more widely than this,
taking in claims services as well as intermediaries. Mr Noble, seconded to
the FSA for the first three months of 2002 to help with its initial
thinking and preparation for general insurance regulation, was speaking
