Pulling power.

Goods in transit insurance is traditionally the preserve of the specialist broker. However, it has been greatly demystified over recent years, and general brokers could be doing more to pull in clients and reap the rewards on offer.

Goods in transit (GIT) insurance solves many commercial client's
needs, and the complexity of the different aspects of cover is ideally
suited for brokers with specialised skills and knowledge. Despite this, it
is widely felt that brokers could do more to promote themselves in this
field.

"What about the cargo?" is one of the fundamental questions brokers should
ask when talking to any client moving goods, according to Charles Reilly
of HML Marketing. "If it isn't, then it should be," he says.
