I cannot understand what the fuss is all about. The requirement is
simple: have only one body responsible for regulating the conduct of all
insurance agents in the UK. This has to mean the merging of all the
brokers/agents' associations or institutions etc.


The definition of an insurance agent is anyone giving advice to members of
the public and transacting insurance on their behalf. Within the one body,
of which every insurance agent must be a member, there should be various
