Bev Fitzgerald, deputy chief executive and operations director at
Cunningham UK, takes over as President of the Chartered Institute of Loss
Adjusters (CILA). Mr Fitzgerald has served on CILA committees since 1980
and has chaired the Press and PR International and Strategy committees. He
joined Cunninghams in 1976 as a trainee after losing his car in an
accident and "looking for a job with a vehicle". He returned there two
years ago after spending most of his career at Thomas Howell (now
