The Association of British Insurers has published a technical
briefing on the fire performance of sandwich panel systems. The document
differentiates between the often confused composite, insulated and
sandwich panels. The ABI hopes clearer distinction between panels will
make for more accurate underwriting, stating: "Approved sandwich panel
systems will not make a significant contribution to a fire."
