Lloyd's insurer Euclidian is moving into the accident and health
market, and has appointed Marc Mclean from ReliaStar Reinsurance to
underwrite the account. His brief is to build a broad-based account with
particular emphasis on group and individual keyman insurance, trip and
expatriate evacuation and repatriation cover. Euclidian is aiming to
achieve £10m in premium income by 2001. John Collyear, at Euclidian, said:
"The contraction of the market has opened up some really good
opportunities."
