The Professional Broking Roadshow has already proved a hit, with far higher demand than expected. The London and Birmingham roadshows are now closed for registrations, already booked to capacity. Brokers can still sign up for Edinburgh (21 October), Manchester (22 October), and Bristol (29 October), however, though they are advised to do so quickly to avoid disappointment.

The PB Roadshow aims to give brokers a hands-on guide to complying with regulation by the Financial Services Authority. With near final rules now published, FSA speakers, including Sarah Wilson, head of the high-street division, will provide brokers with a step-by-step guide to applying for authorisation.

Sandy Scott, director general of the Chartered Insurance Institute, is among the CII speakers advising brokers how to approach training and competence under the new regime.

Speakers from the British Insurance Brokers' Association, including Chris Arter, chair of BIBA's regulatory working party, will chair the events and lead panel Q&A sessions.

In addition, sponsors including Zurich Insurance, Close Premium Finance, Towergate and InsurE-com will advise brokers on everything from finance to appointed representatives under the new regime.
