CMA opts to ban all motor aggregator deals

Regulator decides that price parity agreements between insurers and brokers and price comparison sites should be banned across the board.

The Competition and Markets Authority is set to ban all types of motor insurance aggregator deals following a consultation.

It was thought that the proposal - which means price comparison websites cannot agree the lowest priced deals with insurers and brokers - would only apply to aggregators with sales over 300,000 a year.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
