2005: Matthew Pyke
The Biba goalposts changed in 2005 when it extended its under-30 age limit, allowing 35 year old Matthew Pyke to secure the award.
The judging panel were impressed by Matthew's direct involvement in developing the Somerset-based brokerage Lloyd & Whyte from two to 29 staff in seven years. His success in winning back a previously lost scheme through renegotiating a contract and securing new terms did not go unnoticed either.
