New research from Grant Thornton into broker readiness for 2005 sheds new light on its likely impact for the industry, writes Michelle Worvell
Grant Thornton's aptly titled study 'Ready or Not?' - a survey of 350 of the UK's insurance brokers and the state of their preparations for general insurance regulation - is quite an eye-opener.
Ian Gorham, partner in the financial markets group at Grant Thornton, probably speaks for the whole of the broking community when he states in the introduction: "It would appear that the majority of firms are aware of regulation, but face problems such as finding expertise in short supply and uncertainty
