British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) chief executive, Eric Galbraith, declared the need to recruit "weapons grade talent" if the broking sector is to shake off its low profile with the public and enhance its reputation in the insurance industry.

In his opening address to this year's Biba conference, Mr Galbraith told delegates the association views training as key to building a more professional image. He pointed to Biba's recent agreement with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
