In the article 'Training wrecks' (Insurance Age, November, p38), Paul Lang covers the subject well but there is not a word about government-funded insurance apprenticeships. They are available to all staff aged between 16 and 64 years, and I am amazed that so few companies are aware of them.
The Financial Services Authority recognises that completion of a Retail Financial Services Apprenticeship Level 2 or 3 proves competence through continuous assessment in the workplace, and they can lead to
